Humming Mad #11: Turbulence, SUPER RAD!

Just in case you didn’t make it to Humming Mad #11: Turbulence, we just wanna say something to you: YOU REALLY MISSED (not us lol) THE BEST LINE UP ever. Murphy Radio & Lust are undeniably rad! But worry not, as they still have plenty of shows coming up across the Java island. And here’s a documentation of us playing Conform and (the never absent) Boris cover, Electric.

Also, we’re honored to be watched by the “bastard” of Winterfell, The King In The North, Jon Snow (double) haha! All in all, we’re really glad we took part in the gig and look forward to play more in Tangsel or Jakarta or Depok or whatever.

Our 2nd Single “Conform” is featured on Frequency Asia morning Show!

It was a not so bright Friday morning when a notification popped out of my phone saying there’s a new mention from Frequency Asia. It turned out that our 2nd single is featured on their Friday Morning show (June 10th 2016 edition) alongside with cool bands around Asia and Australia such as Tapestry (Singapore), Lonely Leary (China), The Avalanches (Australia), Atlantis Airport (Japan), and etc. Too bad I was too late to tuned in that I missed listening to our song being played, but fortunate enough to listened to The Avalanches. Just in case you wanted to have a listen, we’re so kind that we give you the recorded version of the broadcast. It’s a good show I’d say, with broad references from around Asia. You guys should really check their other broadcast.

Ps. You might want to wake up earlier every Friday ’cause the guy behind the deck is a killer observer of our scene. There are at least two or three local bands featured there,that I don’t know before, every Friday. A great reference to widen your local music knowledge.

Conform, (Officially)Released!

Our new single (which has been unofficially released) has now officially released today! This single also symbolize our record deal ( LOL sounds like we’re a prospect major band) with our friends from Cut Your Ears Records. Don’t know them? You’ll know soon enough.

This song also serves as the second single for our upcoming EP, which is scheduled to be released in August/September. In the meantime, do have a listen and spread it to your friends if you will. Cheers!

Cimahi Strike!

We made a short tour to Cimahi on 17th May, 2016 (It’s not exactly a tour to be honest lawl it’s just there’s so much band holding a tour and we’re down to join the bandwagon). Props to STIKES Jenderal Ahmad Yani for letting us play. Here’s a snippet of our performance:

Gawking Geek Live Music, RAD!

Yea yea I know it’s a very late post, just don’t want this platform to be abandoned. Sorry for neglecting this blog :’). Right, so here it is, Savvy Bloke performed at Gawking Geek Live Music. Props to Prabu Pramayougha of Saturday Night Karaoke (don’t know them? you’re missing something folks) for recording this. Enjoy!

Electric (Boris Cover) At Kala Bergerak (7/11/15)

We did a cover of Boris instrumental song, Electric, during our set at Kala Bergerak. This was a special request from Athif who’s trying to impress an ‘electric girl’, but sadly didn’t show up until we finished our set. Electric was one of the songs we ever covered back when UNCANNY were formed. Besides, this song was groovy af, so why not. So anyways, here’s the video of us covering Electric by Boris. Photos soon!

ps: That night was the best Blue Stage decoration we ever witness. The sound system, the lighting, the minimalist backdrop, the colours, everything! This maybe sounded like an exaggeration, but I think anyone who showed up that night would agree.

Gemasi’s Halloween Eve 2015!

We dressed as Papa Emeritus, Dead Biker, and Asylum Doctor last Thursday (29th of October) to scare children of Jatinangor. But sadly no children showed up and we have to scare something else. So we decided to scare off Gemasians (That’s what you are if you’re English Department of Unpad student) with fuzzy tunes, feedbacks, screams, and blasting beats (d’oh what a description).

The show went well, tho the sound system didn’t quite much pleasing. And….we ‘cheat’ one more song as I (Suryo) failed to read ‘stop sign’ with ‘5 more minutes’. Hehe, forgive this amateur folks. You can see the photos and a glimpse of our set below (Courtesy of The Halloween Eve’s comittee):
